Healthy Habits: A Must do for Students

Some times, studying ,homework , meeting and maintaining a social life collage students forget to maintain their health. Though some students may not think they need to worry about healthy habits . Developing healthy habits now will make it easier for students to stay healthy through out their lives. Here are some tips for college students to stay healthy.

  1. Eat right :– eating a healthy diet can help boost students immune system help students to maintain a healthy weight and can improve their over all health.
  2. Exercise :– one of the easiest ways to get exercise is to walk to class . depending on your class schedule this could add anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour of exercise every day.
  3. Get enough sleep :– sleep deprivation can lead to reduced brain function , fatigue, headache and weight loss or gain. College students need between seven and nine hour of sleep and getting this amount can improve overall heath.
  4. Eat breakfast:– start your day off right with a good meal when you get up. Whether you are rolling out of bed at noon or up at the crack of dawn for class make sure you start your day with a balanced , healthy meal.
  5. Keep healthy snacks around :– it’s easy to eat healthy if you keep the Cheetos at bay and stock your dorm room with fruits and other healthy snacks.
  6. Don’t skip meal :– with so much to do , it’s easy to forgo eating to run off to class or the library . don’t skip meals. Set up foods you can eat on the run so you will have the energy to keep going.
  7. Play a sport :- one way to get yourself motivated to exercise is to make it a game by playing a sport. Join an intramural team or play recreational sports through your school to get active and get active and have fun at the same time.
