It gives me immense pleasure to report the successful completion of the recent placement event, Interactive Expert Session in Collaboration with SPJIMR . The whole event was Coordinated by Placement Cell.

The Sabarmati University Placement Cell, in collaboration with the prestigious S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), hosted a highly engaging and insightful session as part of the SPJIMR Connect Series (SPCS). This event was conducted on 22nd January 2025 in the Seminar Hall at Sabarmati University. The session titled “Tips to Crack Group Discussions & Personal Interviews” aimed to equip final year and pre-final year students with crucial skills to excel in group discussions and personal interviews

Objectives: The primary goal of the session was to provide students with actionable strategies and insights to:

1. Build confidence for group discussions and personal interviews.
2. Understand key evaluation criteria during such selection processes.
3. Learn best practices and common pitfalls to avoid.

Highlights of the Event:

1. Expert Guidance: The session was conducted by an industry expert Ms. Almas Shaikh from SPJIMR, who shared practical tips and real-life examples to help students prepare for competitive selection rounds.
2. Interactive Approach: The session encouraged active participation from students, fostering an engaging learning environment.
3. Q&A Segment: A dedicated Q&A segment allowed students to address their specific queries and concerns regarding interview techniques and group discussions.
4. Comprehensive Content: The speaker covered a wide range of topics, including effective communication, body language, and strategies to stand out in a group discussion.

Student Participation: The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 students, predominantly from final and pre-final year batches across various disciplines. The active engagement of the attendees highlighted their keen interest in enhancing their placement readiness.
