NSS State Level Competition GOVERNMENT COMMERCE COLLEGE, GANDHINAGAR :
The NSS State Level Competition under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav was held on 11 August 2023 at Government Commerce College, Gandhinagar. This event was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and aimed to provide a platform for students to express their views on the themes of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and the environment through various competitions. The competition was inaugurated by honorable Education Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Rushikesh Ganeshbhai Patel and Dr. Kamal Kumar Kar, Assistant Program Advisor – NSS.
Competition Highlights:
1. Elocution Competition:
The Elocution Competition was a platform for participants to eloquently convey their thoughts on the themes of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and the environment. Kunjan V. Oza, a student of Bachelor of Education 2nd year from Sabarmati University, participated with passion and delivered a compelling speech that reflected deep insights and perspectives on the topics.
2. Essay Writing Competition:
The Essay Writing Competition encouraged participants to articulate their thoughts in a written format. Heta Gautam Bhai Upadhyay, a student of Education 2nd year at Sabarmati University, contributed her thoughts on the themes of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and the environment through her essay. Her writing showcased analytical thinking and a strong grasp of the subjects.
3. Drawing Competition:
The Drawing Competition allowed participants to express their creativity visually. Juhi Gohel, a student of MA Political Science 1st year from Sabarmati University, showcased her artistic skills and interpretation of the themes through her artwork. Her drawing not only displayed creativity but also conveyed powerful messages about the significance of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and environmental awareness.
4. Participation Coordination:
The participation of the students from Sabarmati University was skillfully coordinated by Dr. Tirtha Kanti Karmakar, Dr. Priyanka Kumari Bhatt, and Dr. Dilip Chaudhari. Their efforts ensured that the participants were well-prepared and equipped to excel in their respective competitions.
The NSS State Level Competition under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav provided a remarkable platform for students to engage with important themes while showcasing their talents and perspectives. The participants from Sabarmati University demonstrated exceptional dedication and enthusiasm in all three categories, reflecting their commitment to addressing vital societal issues through various forms of expression.
