The Ph.D. orientation program for new enrolled students of batch 2024 at Sabarmati University was conducted in Hall: 1 on 13th July 2024. The program was well-organized with various sessions aimed at welcoming and guiding the new students. Dr. Tirtha Kanti Karmakar, Assistant Professor (Education), served as the anchor for the entire event.

 Summary

The orientation program began with a traditional Saraswati Vandana performed by Dr. Mikita Shah and Dr. Reena Vihol. Dr. Tirtha Kanti Karmakar then formally welcomed the guests and new students. The Provost and Registrar provided an overview of the university and its offerings. Dr. Reena Vihol elaborated on the university’s departments and courses.

A guest lecture by Prof. (Dr.) VedVyas and Shree M.S Nath was a highlight, followed by a blessing speech from the RDC Chairman and Dean Academics. Dr. Sunita Chauhan addressed the crucial topic of anti-ragging, emphasizing a safe and inclusive environment. Dr. Karmakar introduced the subject faculty members.

Each department had dedicated sessions led by their respective heads, providing detailed insights into the academic framework and expectations. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Mikita Shah. Group photographs and video documentation were coordinated by Dr. Jeet, Dr. Yogesh Parmar, and Mr. Aniket.

Technical support was effectively managed by Mr. Kalpesh and Mr. Vinas, ensuring a seamless event. Mr. Saurabh Parikh took care of the hall arrangements and refreshments, contributing to the overall success of the program.

The event was well-received by the attendees and set a positive tone for the new academic journey of the Ph.D. students.
