Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID Creation Workshop (20th-22nd July 2024)

The Two Days workshop on Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID Creation for Students was held from 20th July to 22nd July 2024 at Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad. The event focused on educating students and faculty members about the ABC system’s benefits and implementation strategies and how to create ABC ID of Students of Sabarmati University.

The workshop began with an inaugural session led by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kiritkumar Vyas of Sabarmati University, who emphasized the importance of the ABC system in modernizing the education system. Dr. Jyoti Shrivastav, Registrar of Sabarmati University, delivered the keynote address. She highlighted how the ABC system promotes lifelong learning and flexibility in education. Dr. Parshuram Dhaked, the Dean-Academics enlightened the students.

Mr. Vipul N Patel provided an overview of the ABC system, explaining the processes of credit accumulation, transfer, and redemption. He also explained presentation on implementing the ABC system at the institutional level, covering necessary infrastructure, software requirements, and administrative procedures.

Day one concluded with practical demonstrations of the ABC portal, where participants learned to create and manage individual credit accounts. The interactive Q&A sessions allowed participants to discuss practical implications and clarify their doubts.

The second day began with Mr. Vipul N Patel explaining the ABC system’s benefits for students, such as flexible learning pathways and increased employability. Real-life case studies were presented to illustrate successful implementations of the ABC system in various institutions. He presented step by step guide to create ABC ID through different portals for newly admitted students of 2024 Batch.

Students, Faculty and administrative staff participated in workshops, focusing on integrating the ABC system into the existing academic framework and managing credit transfers. Hands- on training exercises allowed students to practice using the ABC portal and address common issues.

Technical support was effectively managed by Mr. Kalpesh and Mr. Vinas, ensuring a seamless event. Mr. Saurabh Parikh took care of the hall arrangements and refreshments, contributing to the overall success of the program.

The Workshop concluded with a closing ceremony, where certificates of participation were distributed. The Vice-Chancellor thanked the speakers and participants for their enthusiastic involvement and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to implementing the ABC system.
