Climate Change Resilience in WASH Solutions
Climate Change Resilience in WASH Solutions
Climate change is the most pressing issue of our time. There is now universal agreement that immediate action is required to address the effects of climate change through well-targeted adaptation measures. Extreme occurrences such as floods and droughts, as well as increased water scarcity, can have a substantial impact on people’s access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions, as the global water cycle is directly affected by climate change. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 23, 2022, at Ahmedabad Management Association, a session on Climate Change Resilience in WASH Solutions was held. FANSA, MARI, Udgam Trust, Heart Foundation and Research Institute, and Sabarmati University supported and trusted the event. Mr. Premesh Balan, Dr. Janki Shah, Mr. Shyam Dave, Mr. Ramesh Kumar Saha, Mr. Utsav Parmar, and Dr. Mayur Joshi were among the dignitaries present. The workshop was attended by faculty and students from several government and private universities. All of the dignitaries expressed grave concern about the impact of climate change on our lives and expressed concern for future generations. They also highlighted how seasonal changes caused by our carelessness are damaging the environment and causing the emergence of previously unknown diseases.
