Webinar Report “Diversity and Inclusion”

Webinar was organized on “Diversity and Inclusion” on 15thSeptember’22, Thursday by School of Law, Sabarmati University. The students, advocates, professors and other members of legal fraternity from various cities and states participated in the event. The event began with the introduction about the university followed by overview on the theme of the webinar. The speaker for the session was Mr. Pabitra Ranjan Chakravorty, Corporate Trainer and Management Consultant. He spoke about what does diversity and inclusion mean and why it is important for a law student to understand this concept. A diverse and inclusive workplace is one that makes everyone, regardless of who they are or what they do for the business, feel equally involved in and supported in all areas of the workplace. The “all areas” part is important. Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is more than policies, programs, or headcounts. Equitable employers outpace their competitors by respecting the unique needs, perspectives and potential of all their team members. As a result, diverse and inclusive workplaces earn deeper trust and more commitment from their employees. The session was very knowledgeable and the certificates were shared among the participants.

After the conclusion of the event, feedback forms were filled by all and we got excellent feedback from the participants. The event was a great success and the session had interactive participants.
