Women Empowerment Cell Activity 13-14 September 2025
Women Empowerment Cell Activity: The Women Empowerment Cell of Sabarmati University, in coordination with the NSS Cell and Gender Champions, actively supported the “Mahila Utkarsh Exhibition-cum-Sale” organized by Patanwada Gajjar Suthar Samaj Trust, Ahmedabad, on 13th and 14th September 2025 at Vishwakarma Sankul, Gota-Ognaj Road, Ahmedabad. The event was arranged exclusively for women with the aim of encouraging women entrepreneurs, artisans, and self-help groups by providing them with a platform to showcase and sell their products.

The exhibition featured a wide variety of stalls including handicrafts, traditional garments, handmade products, homemade food items, artistic creations, and services led by women entrepreneurs. It not only highlighted the creativity, skills, and entrepreneurial spirit of women but also gave them an opportunity to interact directly with the community, thereby enhancing their confidence and promoting financial independence.
Sabarmati University’s Women Empowerment Cell, through its active collaboration and volunteer support, played a key role in the smooth functioning of the exhibition. The university’s involvement reflected its strong commitment towards the cause of women empowerment by motivating women to pursue entrepreneurship, leadership, and decision-making roles. The NSS Cell and Gender Champions of the university also contributed by engaging with participants, spreading awareness, and assisting in the coordination of the event.
The two-day exhibition received an overwhelming response from the visitors and participants, ensuring meaningful exposure and recognition for women-led enterprises. The support of Sabarmati University connected academic initiatives with community-driven action, bridging the gap between education and real-life empowerment models. By associating with this initiative, the university reinforced its dedication towards gender equality, inclusivity, and the promotion of women-led growth and progress in society.
