SU Organised Essay Writing Competition: On 5th March 2024 SU Organised Essay Writing Competition which was held at main campus. Essay writing competition was held as part of campaign “Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye”. This campaign was held as part of 14th National Voter’s Day to educate and raise awareness among voters for upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024.The campaign’s overarching theme emphasizes the importance of elections as the country’s greatest occasion to celebrate democracy and a source of pride for both citizens and the general public.
It draws attention to how elections encourage people to exercise their rights and responsibilities and emphasizes how respected Indian democracy is around the world. With the goal of raising voter awareness, this campaign uses a 360-degree strategy that includes social media, radio, television, and community contact. Sensitizing voters at this critical juncture requires a focused voter awareness campaign with a high recall value. In order to encourage increased citizen participation, it lays the groundwork for the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Students from various courses participated on essay writing completion held at Sabarmati University. To avoid the barrier of language students were allowed to write in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Twenty students participated enthusiastically. They have shared their view on the election process which includes suggestions, experience, ideas, opinions, comparisons and criticism. Some of the students were not given their first vote and the enthusiasm was expressed in their writing.
Winner for essay writing competition was Patel Aryan Mukeshbhai and runner up was Richa Desai. These kinds of competitions enable students to engage in various co-curricular activities. Creative co-curricular activities like these will enable the students to develop responsibility towards society and nation.
